Measuring Ukraine Attacks Since Feb 24
The Computer Emergency Response Team of Ukraine (CERT-UA), shared perspectives of an updated view of cyberattacks since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24th, 2022, recording 1,123 cyber attacks. Attacks are across all verticals, especially on critical infrastructure sectors such as commercial, financial, energy, government, transportation, defense, and telecommunication. As reported by Ukraine news agency Interfax "Since the intensification of hostilities, hackers have attacked the government and local authorities 260 times, the security and defense sectors 154 times, carried out 83 attacks on commercial organizations and 72 attacks on the financial sector of Ukraine." The primary objective of the attacks was to gather information, deliver malware, or intervene in Ukraine’s activities.
