Active since October 2019, Joker DPR amplifies Russian information operations amid the ongoing invasion of Ukraine. The group has gained significant followers on social media, influencing public opinion.

A Palestinian-based cyberespionage group tracked as “Mantis” (aka Arid Viper, Desert Falcon, APT-C-23) was observed to be targeting local individuals and organizations with new tools and persistence techniques.

"Tactical Octopus" Cybercriminals Use Tax-themed Phishing for Malware Distribution
Tactical Octopus hackers are using tax-themed phishing scams to distribute malware. By sending employee tax documents, they trick recipients into downloading malware via compressed zip files. The attack chain involves sophisticated PowerShell and VBScript code, bypassing antivirus detection. The campaign is active, with some IP addresses linked to Russian origins.
ALPHV Ransomware Attackers Exploit Veritas Backup Exec Software as Gateway to Corporate Networks
ALPHV (Blackcat) ransomware attackers have been exploiting Veritas Backup Exec vulnerabilities since late 2022, gaining access to corporate networks. Using CVE-2021-27876, CVE-2021-27877, and CVE-2021-27878, they conduct reconnaissance, tamper with security configurations, and deploy ransomware. Over 8,500 vulnerable Veritas installations remain exposed.
Pro-Kremlin Hackers Strike French Parliament
The French National Assembly's website was offline for several hours due to a DDoS attack by pro-Russian hackers NoName057(16). The attack, in response to France's support for Ukraine, is part of Russia's broader cyberwar in Europe. NoName057(16) is known for targeting Western organizations with DDoS and defacement attacks.
