LockBit 3.0, a leading Ransomware-as-a-Service group, has targeted over 1500 victims across various industries. The FBI, CISA, and MS-ISAC's joint advisory details its tactics, techniques, and procedures, providing organizations with critical information to bolster their network defenses.
A Kubernetes Cryptojacking Operation Seeks Payment from Dero Co
A cryptojacking campaign exploiting Kubernetes clusters to mine Dero coins was identified by CrowdStrike. Attackers targeted unsecured containers with exposed APIs, deployed a "proxy-api" DaemonSet, and used cluster resources for mining. The operation was financially motivated, with no attempts at lateral movement or data exfiltration.
US Federal Agency Compromised by Old Telerik Vulnerabilities
A US federal agency was compromised between November 2022 and January 2023 due to old Telerik UI vulnerabilities, such as CVE-2019-18935. Multiple threat actors exploited these vulnerabilities to execute remote code and exfiltrate data. Despite the breach, no webshells were deployed due to restrictive write permissions on the abused service account.

Winter Vivern, a suspected pro-Russian APT group, targets European government agencies and telecommunication providers with espionage campaigns. Using phishing websites and malicious documents, the group gains unauthorized access to sensitive systems and information, supporting Russian and Belarusian interests.
Barcelona Hospital Cancels Appointments After Cyber Attack
A ransomware attack on Hospital Clinic de Barcelona on March 6th, 2023, caused the cancellation of 150 non-urgent surgeries and 3,000 patient checkups. Hospital staff are unable to access clinical records. The Catalonian Cybersecurity Agency links the attack to partners of the Ransom House gang, although the group denies direct involvement.
Breach of Healthcare Organization Exposes Data for U.S. House Members and Staff
A significant data breach at DC Health Link has exposed sensitive personal information of U.S. House members, staff, and their families. The FBI is investigating the breach, which has impacted hundreds and led to the sale of stolen data by threat actor IntelBroker, including Social Security Numbers and more.
