US Federal Agency Compromised by Old Telerik Vulnerabilities
A US federal agency was compromised between November 2022 and January 2023 due to old Telerik UI vulnerabilities, such as CVE-2019-18935. Multiple threat actors exploited these vulnerabilities to execute remote code and exfiltrate data. Despite the breach, no webshells were deployed due to restrictive write permissions on the abused service account.
